Principal Functions

• Report to safety team at HO about any fatal accident/incident on site with 24-hour incident summary report.
• Regular follow up of issues pertaining to safety through RoadAid app
• Investigate the accidents on site and prepare a root cause analysis report with proposed measures for rectification.
• Periodical Road safety assessment of project road to identify any gaps or noncompliance with respect to IRC guidelines, provisions of CA and Cube SOP.
• Monitoring and implementation of the road safety compliance in work zones for routine and major maintenance.
• To provide regular training and guidance to the supervisors and workers regarding work zone safety and implementing the safety guidelines.
• Regular surprise checks to inspect the Incident Management system for RPVs, Ambulance & Hydra in line with IRC guidelines and agreement with the vendor.
• To get an update from maintenance engineer one week in advance (every Friday for the upcoming week) on routine maintenance activities schedule (baseline schedule) and report to Safety Team at HO.
• To review the arrangement in work zone area as per the drawings provided by HO and provide approval for commencement of the work.
• To coordinate with Head Safety at HO to real time monitor the ongoing work via the received images (in Road Aid) and communicate with maintenance supervisor the anomalies observed/comments during the execution of work from safety aspect.
• Check on the complete Detailed NCR register maintained by the safety engineer on site for capturing the observations raised.
• Maintain the accident statistics for monthly basis submitted to NHAI and share one copy to HO.
