Senior Engineer - WLAN Test

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to join the Engineering Group. As a Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and modifying general systems-level software and hardware, as well as specialized utility and hardware. You will interpret wireless specifications, design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, and document systems-level defects using a bug tracking system. It will be your responsibility to identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and document problems with program function, output, or content. Additionally, you will develop testing programs to assess the effectiveness of new systems or modifications to existing systems. To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Systems Test Engineering. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a relevant field will also be accepted. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of electronic communication technology, particularly in WLAN, as well as proficiency in coding in languages such as C#/C++ or Python. You should have experience in designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, documenting software defects, and reporting them to software developers. Understanding requirements, creating test plans and test cases, executing them, analyzing logs, identifying issues, automating test cases, and participating in product design reviews are key responsibilities of this role. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with good knowledge of WLAN protocol/communications/RF. You should have 3-5 years of experience in testing wifi protocol and programming languages like C, C#, C++, Java, Python, among others. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also essential. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience in Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and tools, and a Master's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
