Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to help establish the data foundation for our Databricks POC and sandbox environments. This role requires a self-driven expert with deep technical knowledge of modern data engineering and the Databricks platform. Key Responsibilites: Design and build ETL pipelines Analyse data and derive insights using Analytics Implement solutions on Databricks. Should be we'll versed with all features/services of Databricks and use standard practices in implementation Work in Agile environment Individual contributor with ability to pick and deliver solutions. Delivered on multiple projects in the past. 5-8 years of professional experience in data engineering, with multiple project deliveries. Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks , including Delta Lake, jobs, clusters, and notebooks. Proficient in SQL and either Python or Scala . Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes , data modeling, and big data processing. Experience working on cloud platforms (eg, Azure, AWS, or GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , version control systems (Git), and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work independently. Preferred Skills Experience with MLflow , Unity Catalog , and Lakehouse architecture . Knowledge of data governance , data quality frameworks , and security best practices. Prior involvement in setting up proof-of-concept (POC) or sandbox environments for data platforms.
