Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in the gaming industry, with a focus on fantasy sports. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Flutter for mobile app development, Express.js for backend services, and PostgreSQL for database management, coupled with a solid understanding of DevOps practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like OpenTofu or Terraform is a plus, and AWS experience will be highly valued. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in the fantasy sports industry, familiar with its unique use cases and challenges. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing both the front-end and back-end components of our fantasy sports platform. You ll also collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment, scaling, and performance optimization of our services on AWS infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: * Mobile Development: Develop and maintain high-performance mobile applications using Flutter that provide an exceptional user experience for millions of fantasy sports enthusiasts. * Backend Development: Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs using Express.js to handle high-volume data and real-time updates for live sports events. * Database Management: Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for storing and retrieving fantasy sports data. Ensure database performance, scaling, and data integrity with large volumes of real-time sports data. * DevOps & Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy, manage, and monitor applications on AWS. Experience with OpenTofu or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus, but not required. Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability. * CI/CD Pipelines: Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable code deployment. * Fantasy Sports Use Cases: Design and implement features such as live score updates, team management, player stats tracking, contests, and leaderboard systems that are specific to fantasy sports. * Scalability and Performance Optimization: Ensure the platform is optimized for high concurrency and low latency, handling millions of real-time events during peak sports seasons. * Security: Implement security best practices for both mobile and backend services, ensuring data protection, secure transactions, and privacy compliance. * Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to bring features from concept to reality. Required Skills and Experience: * 3+ years of hands-on development experience in a Full-Stack role, specifically with Flutter, Express.js, and PostgreSQL. * Strong knowledge of Flutter for cross-platform mobile app development (Android and iOS). * Proficient in Node.js and Express.js for backend service development with RESTful APIs. * Database management experience with PostgreSQL, including database schema design, optimization, query tuning, and scaling for high-performance systems. * Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud services, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like OpenTofu or Terraform (nice to have, but not mandatory). * Experience in the gaming industry, particularly in fantasy sports, with an understanding of the unique requirements, use cases, and challenges in this domain. * Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS (PostgreSQL), CloudWatch, etc. * Strong understanding of API design, real-time data streaming, and WebSockets for live sports updates. * Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices in branching strategies. Good to Have: * Hands-on experience with OpenTofu or other Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. * Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. * Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch for performance monitoring and optimization.
