As a Principal Engineer, NAND Device Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will play a crucial role in the Technology Development group by analyzing cell device characteristics, engineering memory device/array operation, and developing innovative solutions for next-generation NAND technologies. Your primary focus will be to ensure the required cell and array performance is achieved within project timelines, contributing to the cutting-edge development of NAND technologies and products. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the device technology development of state-of-the-art NAND cells. - Perform electrical characterization of NAND cell arrays and test structures to identify device improvement directions. - Collaborate with Process Integration and Cell teams to enable cell improvements (performance, reliability) through feedback on process experiments and interactions with array operation. - Engage in trim and waveform/algorithm engineering to enhance cell threshold voltage placement, performance, and reliability. - Utilize fundamental device knowledge to develop novel array solutions. - Foster strong collaboration with product engineers, process engineers, and test engineers. Requirements: - Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Semiconductor devices. - Strong understanding and experience with nonvolatile memories, especially NAND device physics. Experience with NAND cell trim and algorithm development is essential (preferably 6+ years of experience). - Excellent communication and reporting skills. - Ability to drive for results effectively in a time-constrained environment. Education: - Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Semiconductor devices. Experience: - Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Semiconductor Device Engineering. You will be involved in development projects related to next generations of semiconductor chips and power modules right from conceptual phase till the product launch.
