Job Description

Role & responsibilities Ensure all sprint ceremonies are conducted as per planned schedule in each sprint. Daily Scrum: Facilitate daily stand-ups meetings to ensure the sprint is progressing as planned and resolve any impediments that chokes the progress. Sprint Planning: Guide the team on under/over-committing in a sprint. Aid scrum team in estimation using techniques like planning poker and create required tasks for each user story. Sprint Reviews: Facilitate sprint review meetings along with Product Owner/Business Analysists and ensure the feedback from stakeholders are captured and actioned. Retrospectives: Conduct retrospective meeting to note areas for improvement and action items for future sprints. Grooming: Facilitate product backlog meetings along with Business Analysts/Product Owner to ensure adequate user stories are groomed in advance for the future sprints. Sprint Board administration: Work as an administrator of the Sprint board and ensure user stories taken in a sprint are up to date with the progress. 1 on 1s: Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed to sort out team disagreements about process and work styles. Blockers: Assist the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements. Project Management Support: Planning: Work with Project Manager in project planning, including defining the scope, timelines, and resources. Monitor Progress: Follow through project progress and ensure that requirements are being met. Regularly monitor the burndown chart and take necessary corrective actions in case of any deviations in the planned sprint. Reporting: Report the sprint progress status using the ADO dashboard to stakeholders on daily basis. Provide sprint closure report summarizing the teams sprint accomplishments and their performance using appropriate metrics. 6. Stakeholder Communication: Present Findings: Communicate findings and recommendations related to project/product to stakeholders through presentations and reports. Facilitate Decision-Making: Help stakeholders make informed decisions by providing clear and concise information. 7. Continuous Improvement: Identify Opportunities: Seek opportunities to improve the processes and team productivity. Implement Changes: Work with team to implement changes and measure its impact to course correct it aimed towards improvements. 8. Metrics: Measure the team & project performance for tracking/forecasting. Periodically report the relevant metrics to the key stakeholders and business team. 10. Ensure the team members are allocated with sufficient work in a sprint as per their capacity and they add their hour log under the appropriate tasks. 11. Facilitate and guide the Product Owner/Business Analysist to prioritize and arrange the product backlog to maximize value. 12. Collaborate with peer Scrum Masters within the product team to sort out project dependencies, release planning and sharing the best practices. 13. Work closely with Agile Coach to take guidance on continuous improvement both individually and for the team. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Learning & Knowledge sharing and mentoring resources. 2. Actively participate in training activities. 3. Actively participate and contribute to Organizational Goals. 4. Actively participate and contribute to Organizational Internal Audits. 5. Assists in interviewing candidates, organizing university recruiting and job fairs. Technical Skillset: General understanding of programming & scripting languages are added advantage. Having worked/exposure to DevOps, Version controlling, Database, Test automation, Microsoft Technologies such as ASP.NET 4.X and above, .Net Core, C#.Net, ADO.Net, MVC, JSON and Web API are added advantage. Knowledge of Tools Project Management: Azure ADO/JIRA. Communication and Collaboration Tools: MS Teams, Outlook, Confluence. Additional Tools: MS Office Suite, SharePoint and Miro. Soft Skills Excellent in verbal and written English language. Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical teams and be able to present to senior stakeholders. 3. Mediate between different stakeholders to reach a consensus and ensure that project goals are met. 4. Attention to Details which the team has overlooked to capture it. 5. Collaborate effectively with various teams and departments internal/external to organisation for successful implementation of the project. 6. Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills 7. Takes professional ethics such as punctuality, dress-code, meetings very seriously. 8. Demonstrates awareness of individual and group dynamics. Preferred candidate profile Qualification & Certifications A bachelors degree in computer science or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification mandatory. SAFe / Team Kanban Practitioner certification is a plus.
