Profile Summary:

  • We are developing & constructing several solar and solar-wind hybrid sites across India. Currently we are looking for a skilled and motivated SCADA & Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of various RE power plants, ensuring successful integration of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and ensuring optimal performance of plant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SCADA systems, control systems integration, and commissioning processes within the renewable energy sector. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The SCADA & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the successful integration, configuration and commissioning of SCADA systems for solar power plants.
  • This role includes overseeing system performance, conducting tests, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and system handover while maintaining all necessary documentation and adhering to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning of SCADA systems for solar power plants, ensuring system integration and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement SCADA systems that monitor and control solar power plant operations.
  • Perform system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of SCADA equipment, ensuring successful operation and communication.
  • Develop and execute commissioning procedures, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and performance testing.
  • Interface with third-party vendors for hardware and software installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitor data acquisition and ensure real-time data reporting, fault diagnosis, and system performance tracking.
  • Provide technical support during the commissioning phase and ensure the resolution of any system-related issues.
  • Involve in pre commissioning checks in coordination with sites.
  • Knowledge of EHV, AC/DC equipment and hands on experience of complete electrical equipment pertaining to solar projects.
  • Must be able to visualize & understand the basic electrical drawings and SLDCs
  • Co-ordination with OEM Team for commissioning of projects.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including test reports, system manuals, and as-built drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and project management, to ensure seamless commissioning and handover.
  • Stay updated on advancements in SCADA technology and solar energy industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-9 years of experience in SCADA system implementation and commissioning, preferably in the solar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture, communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP), and control systems.
  • Experience in system integration, PLC programming, and HMI development.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning solar power plants and monitoring systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with multiple stakeholders.
