We are looking for a Sales Support Coordinator to support our customers for our Ships Service division, in Mumbai, India. Are you the Sales Support Coordinator we are looking for?
The overall purpose of support to the sales team with preparation of presentations, business reviews, deal proposals, customer analysis and other relevant task. Manage customers, vessels and contracts data. Coordinate and organize sales meetings and customer events. Provide various support to Area Sales.
The role will include two primary focus areas (where applicable) : Marketing & Event Coordinator and First-line support
What you will be doing:
  • Register, update and maintain master data related to new / existing customers and vessels in cooperation with Asset Management team where applicable.
  • Coordinate Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screening and credit checks on new/existing customers also in relation to signing/renewing contracts in cooperation with Credit and Compliance team.
  • Assist Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Head of Sales (HoS) with contract management, in accordance and collaboration with Pricing and Governance Team.
  • Provide sales and customer analysis, prepare business reviews and customer presentations.
  • Monitor and drive improvement of customer data accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate successful implementation of sales processes and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) usage in cooperation with Sales Operations team.
  • Coordinate the implementation of sales initiatives & campaigns.
  • Facilitate local sales meetings and customer events planning in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Coordinate Sales communications / customer letters.
  • Handle supplier forms/customer portals registration in cooperation with Sales team, Human Resources (HR), Credit, Local Customer Service (LCS), Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment (QHSSE).
Focus area Marketing & Event Coordinator - Main Responsibilities:
  • Implementing and help to develop marketing strategies and initiatives in cooperation with the Marketing team.
  • Facilitate communication between the Marketing team and the local Sales team, ensuring effective collaboration and utilization of available marketing tools to support sales activities.
  • Plan, prepare and organize local sales meetings, custom er events and exhibition in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Coordinate the distribution of corporate giveaways.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance collaboration, identify ways to bring additional value to the organization for greater efficiency.
Focus area First-line Support - Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective execution of sales processes in cooperation with Sales Operations team.
  • Facilitate successful onboarding and implementation of CRM and dashboards usage by being the first line support for the Area Sales team in cooperation with Sales Operations team.
  • Assist on enforcing high levels of quality, accuracy and consistency in the sales planning/forecasting and opportunity pipeline management.
  • Deliver analytics insights focused on sales performance and customer engagement.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance collaboration, identify ways to bring additional value to the organization for greater efficiency.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
  • Preferably Graduates with minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Preferred experience as a sales coordinator in marine industry.
  • Prior experience as a sales coordinator within the maritime industry will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent English – both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work on company's systems.
  • Ability to work independently and systematically.
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
  • Ability and aptitude to learn is a must – training can be provided to bring the candidate up to speed with the requisite knowledge to perform the job.
