Job Description

Technical Sales Executive

Job Summary:

  • Technical Sales Responsibility:

    Generating new enquiries and visiting customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer Creation & Follow-ups:

    Developing techno-commercial offers, following up, and closing sales.
  • New Sales Initiatives & Product Launches:

    Supporting the company in promoting new sales initiatives and product launches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Visits:

    Travel across India to generate new enquiries, attend to existing ones, and develop strong customer relationships. Understand customer requirements through site visits and conceptualize solutions during discussions.
  • Presentations & Offers:

    Prepare and deliver company presentations, create conceptual layouts (sketch/AutoCAD), and provide commercial quotations based on gathered costing information.
  • Negotiations:

    Engage in negotiations with customers, revise offers (both technical and commercial), and convert enquiries into purchase orders.
  • CRM and Sales Data Management:

    Develop and maintain systems and processes to stay up-to-date with sales data, potential orders, and enquiries. Regularly update CRM with customer information, offers, and order conversions for weekly and monthly reviews.
  • Exhibitions & Events:

    Participate actively in exhibitions, ensuring effective follow-ups on enquiries. Handle logistics, including stall allotments, display setups, and stall management during the exhibition period.
  • Pipeline Development:

    Proactively scout for new projects and potential customers to maintain a steady pipeline of orders.
  • Market & Customer Identification:

    Research new markets and identify potential customers.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Market Understanding:

    Strong knowledge of market characteristics and the ability to craft sales strategies.
  • Customer Engagement:

    Excellent skills in converting enquiries into orders by effectively presenting company solutions.
  • Communication & Presentation:

    Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Sales Experience:

    Minimum 5-8 years of experience in selling capital equipment.
  • Technical Expertise:

    Ability to understand customer requirements and provide solutions based on technical expertise.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements:

    BE (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) or equivalent.
  • Certifications:

    Formal sales training will be an advantage.
  • Experience:

    5-8 years in capital equipment sales.
