Mgr/ Jr. Mgr / Shift Incharge-Mechanical-Project-Rolling Mill Location : Jharkhand Qualification : Diploma/B.Tech-Mechanical/Production Experience : 6+ Years Key Responsibilities Job Purpose: To supervise and execute the mechanical installation, erection, and commissioning activities of the rolling mill mechanical systems during the project phase, ensuring timely completion within safety, quality, and budget norms. Key Responsibilities: Project Execution: Supervise day-to-day mechanical project activities related to the rolling mill including erection, alignment, fabrication, piping, and commissioning. Coordinate with design, civil, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration and timely execution. Ensure adherence to project timelines, safety norms, and mechanical design specifications. Participate in and verify machine alignment, leveling, grouting, and foundation activities. Oversee equipment erection for rolling stands, roller tables, gearboxes, loopers, cooling beds, etc. Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate with contractors, fitters, riggers, and fabricators to execute project work during shifts. Monitor and allocate manpower resources efficiently as per the work schedule. Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Liaise with equipment suppliers and installation contractors for technical guidance and compliance. Participate in technical discussions, pre-commissioning checks, and inspections with vendors. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, checklists, equipment log sheets, and project documentation. Report deviations, bottlenecks, and material issues to senior project management. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce safety procedures and use of PPEs on-site. Participate in toolbox talks and safety audits during project execution.

Role & responsibilities Attend Mechanical breakdowns of 4 HI, 6 HI cold rolling mill, Pickling line, TADL line, Furnaces etc. Find out root cause of breakdown. To ensure proper action is taken on detected and potential non-conformities (CA & PA) Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on cold rolling mills, pickling lines, and TADL equipment, Furnaces. Conduct daily inspections to identify potential failures and take proactive measures to prevent downtime. Coordinate with production and electrical teams to ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of issues. Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems like gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems. Supervise and support installation and commissioning of new machinery or modifications. Ensure proper use of maintenance tools and adherence to safety protocols during maintenance work. Ensure Resource Availability (Consumables, Crane ,Man power etc) & Manage spare parts inventory for critical equipment and liaise with vendors for procurement. Create and maintain maintenance records , machine history, and failure analysis reports. Ensure training is planned & conducted IMS activity to be performed on daily basis. Monitor contractor performed job within organization rule. Arresting the Air, steam & oil leakage. Fulfilment of "Part of FORM 3" against hazardous waste generated in department.
