Position Overview

Robotics Team Lead Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of automation projects involving industrial robots and Travelling is mandatory on project basis.
• Work hands-on with major robotic platforms such as

  Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, and KUKA

  .
• Simulate and validate robotic movements using tools like

  Roboguide, MotoSim, KUKA Sim

  , etc.
• Interface and integrate robots with

  PLCs, CNCs

  , vision systems, and other peripherals.
• Prepare and review

  Interface Control Documents (ICD)

  for I/O mapping and communication protocols.
• Select appropriate robot models based on payload, reach, and application requirements.
• Develop technical documentation including

  robot functional analysis, operating manuals

  , and compliance reports.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior robotics engineers throughout project execution.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and timeline standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in

  Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering

  .
• 5 to 10 years of experience in

  industrial robotics and automation

  .
• Proven experience in commissioning and troubleshooting robotic systems in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in programming robotic arms (e.g., TP programming, KRL, RAPID, INFORM).
• Strong knowledge of

  robot safety standards

  and system integration best practices.
• Experience working with automation tools, sensors, and vision systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and support.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• OEM training certifications from Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, or KUKA.
• Certification in Functional Safety (e.g., TV SD).
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 solutions and digital twin technologies.
