Job Description

Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The Head of Retail Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all retail outlets across the business. This role ensures the seamless execution of strategies, maximizes store performance, drives customer satisfaction, and fosters an environment of operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of retail management. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Lead and manage regional/store managers to ensure store-level operations align with company goals. Drive the execution of strategic initiatives and retail programs across all locations. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. People Management: Recruit, train, and mentor retail leadership teams. Develop succession plans and ensure effective talent development at all levels. Foster a performance-driven culture with clear accountability and recognition systems. Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are upheld across all stores. Implement customer feedback systems and lead service improvement initiatives. Sales & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue through promotions, merchandising, and customer engagement. Set sales targets, monitor results, and implement corrective measures where necessary. Inventory & Supply Chain: Oversee inventory management practices to ensure stock accuracy and availability. Liaise with supply chain and merchandising teams for effective stock replenishment. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all retail operations comply with company policies, legal regulations, and health & safety standards. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments. Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare and manage operational budgets for the retail division. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, including multi-site management. Proven leadership experience with large, diverse retail teams. Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L statements. Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with retail tech and POS systems. Strong understanding of e-commerce and omni channel retail.
