Job Description

Role Objective :

Implement the merchandising strategy at a regional level for the assigned sub-category in

alignment with the overall merchandising and business strategy to achieve growth and profitability

of the business

Responsibility:

Guide the SCM team on vendor identification and shortlist the products to be displayed for product meets.
Gather feedback from participants (Regional Head, Zonal Heads, Store Heads etc.) regarding product meets to improve effectiveness and quality.
Screen designs and evaluate products from vendors in the assigned category to have adequate products that cater to customer requirements.
Classify and tag new products of the assigned sub-category into the appropriate design family and hierarchy to enable the Catalogue team to upload the details on the Order Management System (OMS).
Conduct periodic store visits to evaluate product acceptance and customer preferences.
Periodically monitor inventory and review the inventory holding in stores for assigned subcategory to aid decision making of stock requirement to maintain inventory levels
Identify dead stock to be melted/returned to vendors in order to minimize the losses.
Confer with team members to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems to facilitate execution excellence.
Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing direct reports with adequate exposure and growth opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile:

Good knowledge in Silver Jewellery and Articles.
