Job Description

Job Description: As a Hospital Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and efficient experience. You will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, and supporting the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
  • Verify patient information and process admissions and discharges.
  • Coordinate with medical staff and departments to facilitate patient flow.
  • Handle billing and insurance inquiries, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Address patient concerns and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and medical office software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
