The Consultant will contribute to ongoing research on climate resilience in Bengaluru. This research will support the project on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) for Bengaluru City. Responsibilities Collect and analyse spatial and temporal data on Bengaluru s urban hydrology, including rainfall patterns, drainage networks, and land use and land cover, using publicly available data, including IMD, CWC, and other gridded datasets. Develop, calibrate, and validate urban flood models using SWMM, HEC-RAS, or GIS-based hydrological tools. Examine historical flood events and assess their impact on urban communities and ecosystems and simulate flood scenarios under various climate change projections (e.g. RCP scenarios) to assess future flood risks.
