Overview of Role We are looking for a dynamic and experienced QA Practice Lead to establish, lead, and scale our quality assurance practice. The ideal candidate will have a balanced background in both automation and manual testing, with proven experience in leading QA teams or practices, even within smaller or mid-sized organizations. This is a strategic role that requires both technical and leadership capabilities to ensure software quality across. Responsibilities Define and implement QE best practices, frameworks, and governance models across product and engineering teams Lead the establishment of a QE Center of Excellence (CoE), driving consistency and maturity in testing practices. Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps to integrate quality into the development lifecycle (Shift Left and Shift Right strategies). Build and scale robust test automation frameworks (UI, API, performance, security). Define KPIs and quality metrics to monitor product and process health. Mentor and coach QA engineers across squads; upskill teams in automation, tools, and quality mindset. Evaluate, standardize, and manage testing tools and platforms. Drive adoption of CI/CD and test orchestration strategies to accelerate releases without compromising quality. Lead quality reviews, audits, and retrospectives to identify continuous improvement areas. Qualifications 1520 years of overall experience in QA, with at least 5 years in a leadership or practice lead role. Strong hands-on experience in both automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, etc.) and manual testing methodologies. Expertise in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills. Experience in implementing and driving quality metrics. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification is a plus. 66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
