Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented testing staff with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software projects / products through manual and automated testing, who will work closely with developers, business group and other stakeholders to identify issues, suggest improvements, and contribute to the overall success of our projects / products.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy

Understand functional requirements and define test objectives and strategies.

Lead and develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.

Manual Testing

Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Identify, document, and report defects, and track them to resolution using a defect management tool.

Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by test cases.

Automation Testing

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

Maintain and enhance the existing test automation framework.

Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with development and functional support group to understand features and technical implementation.

Participate in planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

Provide timely and accurate QA status updates and escalate critical issues when necessary.

Able to use the resources available optimally to manage critical deliveries.

Performance and Security Testing

Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar to ensure system stability and scalability.

Assist in security testing by identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending solutions.

Quality Assurance Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve QA processes and methodologies.

Implement best practices for software testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills:

8+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

Proficiency and hands-on testing in manual and automated testing techniques.

Proficiency and hands-on testing in web-based, mobile-based and API based applications.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG), will be an advantage.

Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for test automation.

Basic understanding of database testing and SQL queries.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

Knowledge of security testing tools and practices.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Exposure to the ISMS environment preferred

Managed optimal team of testers.

Educational Requirements:

Essential: B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / M.C.A / M.Sc., in Comp. Science
