QA Lead - Network Protocols & Automation (Routing & Switching, Python)

We are currently looking for a QA Lead specializing in Routing & Switching testing with Python Automation in Gurugram. Your role will involve validating and enhancing the performance of our Routing & Switching platforms. If you excel in network testing, Python automation, and Layer 2/3 protocols, this is the perfect opportunity for you to thrive. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and automating test strategies for Routing & Switching products, focusing on platform-independent software features. You will build Python-based automation to validate Layer 2/3 protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, BFD, QoS, MPLS, EVPN, VPLS, and VPWS. Additionally, you will define and execute test plans, develop test cases, and lead system-level validation using tools like Ixia and Spirent. Your role will also involve setting up complex testbeds, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams on defect resolution. You will review test cases and feature specs, providing technical input during design and implementation phases. Ensuring compliance with commercial specs, RFCs, and real-world network topologies will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will document test results and automate reporting using tools like Quality Center (QC) or equivalent software. As part of agile scrum teams, you will actively contribute to ensuring the timely delivery of production-ready features. Sharing knowledge across teams, mentoring junior engineers, and leading knowledge-sharing sessions will also be crucial aspects of your role. To be successful in this position, you should have 6 to 10 years of experience in QA/Testing for networking systems, particularly in Routing & Switching. A deep understanding of L2/L3 topologies, network switches, and data communication systems is essential. Strong hands-on experience with Python, Tcl/Expect for test automation, traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), and protocols like BGP, IS-IS, BFD, QoS, RSVP-TE, EVPN, VPLS, VPWS is required. A degree in Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science is preferred, and experience with Netconf, GNMI, and Telemetry would be a bonus.
