How You Will Contribute: Ciena’s labs are filling with new high tech equipment all the time. We need a responsible individual to join our team and help us to install various types of nodes for Packet Network and optical transport and switching functions and provide prompt support to development/test Engineers. Requirements include IT or Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering with 5 + years of experience in Lab support role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Attend to service requests from lab users from R&D teams for day-to-day lab activities. Maintain the IP sheet of nodes and equipment’s. Successfully install and commission the received gear as per agreed timeline. Setting up test equipment and their periodic calibration. Equipment such as traffic generators, jitter analyzers, oscilloscopes, attenuators, etc. Operating thermal chambers Enforce Ciena policies for proper use of the lab. Includes ESD procedures, keeping the lab clean and organized, etc. Coordination for the shipments of equipment and materials. Inventory management with periodic physical inventory scans and support in Audits. Ensure fibers cables are properly maintained & are properly tested for losses prior to usage. The Must Haves: Diploma / Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering or relevant work experience. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or design lab for installation of equipment’s and managing power of rectifiers. Exposure on SDH/SONET /OTN technologies from fiber port management point of view. Excellent Problem-Solving skills. How You Will Contribute Customer facing presales engineering representative focused on India Enterprise, Datacenter and ISP market. Perform technical tasks, including assisting in written proposals, network design and engineering and quotes. Solid foundational knowledge of routing, switching, and telecommunications network management. Excellent written and verbal communication, with effective presentation skills. Highly adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Proven skills in management, decision-making, and problem-solving. Well-versed in navigating competitive sales environments.
