Python Developer (Odoo ERP Specialist)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Odoo ERP development and customization. You will play a key role in building and enhancing ERP solutions tailored to complex business workflows across our global manufacturing and software operations.

You will work closely with our process owners, project managers, and frontend developers to build custom modules, integrate third-party services, and extend core Odoo functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo ORM

- Customize and enhance standard Odoo apps (Sales, Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing, Accounting, CRM, etc.)

- Build API integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., payment gateways, shipping APIs, external services)

- Optimize performance, troubleshoot bugs, and provide ongoing system support

- Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to provide custom endpoints and logic

- Create and maintain clear, well-documented code and technical documentation

- Participate in deployment, testing, and rollout of features

- Support functional teams with technical feasibility analysis

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Odoo (v18 preferred)

- Proficiency in Python and deep understanding of Odoos ORM and MVC structure

- Familiarity with QWeb templates, XML, and JavaScript for front-end adjustments

- Experience with PostgreSQL and writing optimized queries

- Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows

- Experience working in Linux-based environments

- Understanding of business processes in one or more Odoo domains (Sales, Inventory, MRP, CRM, etc.)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

- Good written and verbal English communication

Nice to Have (Bonus):

- Experience with Odoo Enterprise and Odoo.sh

- Exposure to Docker, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines

- Knowledge of Odoo performance tuning and security practices

- Integration with external tools (e.g., payment gateways, accounting systems, e-commerce platforms)
