Role & responsibilities Work on support tasks for the Hyderabad Engineering Process Safety Group by gathering process safety information and draft isometrics for evaluating various equipment across global sites by coordinating with internal team and manufacturing personnel. Evaluate potential overpressure and vacuum scenarios, perform line sizing and relief load calculations for new and existing relief devices (PSV, RD and conservation vents). Evaluate and document the simple relief calculations as a complete package using inhouse tools. Prepare relief load summary document and Relief device datasheets. • Material and Energy Balance Calculation as per the process requirement to design the adequate relief systems. Work to enhance safety and protect the environment through overall relief project development. Preferred candidate profile Basic Qualifications Masters or bachelors degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university or college. 4 to 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Project Design Engineering, Process Safety design and technical services background are preferred. Knowledge of Chemical engineering processes and operations. Brief understanding of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and equipment layouts. • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and consultation skills. This position will interact with personnel from all departments/organizations. • Must have the ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means, and able to adapt communication to best reach the intended audience within or outside the organization. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. • Internship/Apprenticeship experience in a chemical plant is an add-on.
