Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Understand the business forecast and support translation into daily and weekly production plans.
Assist in aligning operational execution with organizational goals of efficiency and delivery performance.
Prepare and update daily production schedules based on MPS (Master Production Schedule) and available capacity.
Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and finished goods against planned schedules.
Coordinate with store and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Assist in planning and sequencing production orders to optimize machine and manpower utilization.
Update planning sheets and ERP system with real-time data on production progress.
Assist in conducting periodic capacity analysis and highlight constraints or shortfalls.
Ensure adherence to production plans and escalate delays or deviations proactively.
Release & monitor work orders flow in the ERP system with accuracy.
Contribute to the implementation of planning SOPs and data accuracy initiatives.
Assist in preparation of reports for production performance, lead times, and OTD (On-Time Delivery) trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Stores, Procurement, and Quality.
Maintain effective communication with shopfloor supervisors for timely feedback and plan adjustments.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel.
Knowledge of production workflows, material planning, and basic capacity planning.
Understanding of Work order, BOMs, Routings, and MRP logic.
Understanding of Shop floor drawings.

Educational Qualifications:

B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in PPC roles in a manufacturing/engineering industry.
