Develop efficient bending and Welding methods and tool setups for new and existing parts.
Optimize bend sequences to reduce handling and rework.
Minimize spring back and material distortion through proper parameter selection.
Select appropriate welding processes (MIG, TIG, spot welding, laser welding, etc.) based on material type, thickness, and joint design.
Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensure adherence to Welding Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
Ensure proper tool selection (dies, punches) based on material type, thickness, and bend radius.
Plan and schedule welding jobs according to the production timeline.
Coordinate with design, fabrication, and assembly sections to ensure smooth workflow.
Weld Fixture & Tooling Design & management.
Train operators on correct machine setup, safety protocols, and reading bend drawings (including bend deduction/k-factor usage).
Monitor operator efficiency and support trouble-shooting during production.
