Human Resources Role Head Human Resources Reporting To Managing Director & CEO Team Reporting 3 Location Mumbai Position Summery The Head of Human Resources is responsible for leading the HR function and aligning human capital strategy with the organizations overall business goals. This role involves the development and execution of HR initiatives across key areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, and regulatory compliance. As a strategic partner to the leadership team, the HR Head plays a pivotal role in driving business performance, fostering a high-performance culture, and championing employee engagement and well-being. This role ensures that HR practices, support the company's mission, values, and long-term success. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Lead and manage the recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes to attract top talent. Design and oversee employee performance management systems and employee development programs. Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, employee satisfaction, and productivity. Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and HR-related statutory requirements relevant to employees, including adherence to the Shops and Establishments Act, Payment of Wages Act, POSH Act, PF, MWF ESI (where applicable), and other employment-related regulations. This includes maintaining accurate employee records, conducting internal investigations when necessary, and representing the organization during statutory audits, inspections, or legal proceedings. Develop and monitor HR budgets and resource planning. Guide organizational change management initiatives. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of talent Develop future leaders who can drive the organization forward. Provide decision support through HR metrics and reporting. Provide trusted guidance to senior management on all human capital matters, to support effective decision-making. Accountability The Head of HR is accountable for leading the HR function and ensuring that all human resource strategies, policies, and practices align with business objectives. This includes driving talent management, compliance, employee engagement, organizational development, and HR operations to support the companys growth and culture. Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing , maintaining data integrity across all HR systems. Foster a healthy, inclusive, and safe work environment that supports employee well-being and aligns with the organization's values. Implement and monitor a fair and transparent Performance Management System (PMS) that promotes meritocracy and equal opportunity for growth and development. Ensure business continuity by preparing future leaders who can drive the organization forward. Working Relationship Internal With Senior Management: Act as a strategic advisor and partner, aligning HR initiatives with business goals, and providing insights to support leadership in decision-making and change management. - With Employees (across teams and across departments) Build trust through transparent communication, ensure fair treatment, and promote engagement, well-being and professional development. External Effectively manage relationships with external partners including recruitment agencies, HR service vendors and statutory compliance consultants, to ensure timely and cost-effective support for HR operations. Knowledge HR Best practices & polices. Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of Labour Laws , Factories Act , and POSH Act . Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in dealing with shopfloor employees. Proven track record in handling womens welfare issues sensitively and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to conduct training and awareness sessions. Additional Requirements: Willingness to work in a plant/factory environment and engage with employees at all levels. Should have good documentation and report-writing abilities.
