Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer AWS DevOps to join our growing engineering team. This role is focused on building, automating, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure and DevOps pipelines on AWS. You’ll collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline deployments, improve system reliability, and accelerate delivery cycles. Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Build reusable modules for multi-account, multi-environment deployments.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and management of AWS resources and services.
CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
- Integrate pipelines with quality gates, security scans, automated tests, and approvals.
- Enable zero-downtime deployments and blue-green / canary strategies.
Cloud Infrastructure & Observability
- Manage and optimize cloud environments using AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route53, VPC, IAM.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
- Drive system reliability and availability through observability, auto-healing, and chaos engineering practices.
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices: IAM policies, role-based access, secrets management (SSM, Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., CIS benchmarks, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Perform regular security reviews and infrastructure audits.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to define infrastructure needs and CI/CD requirements.
- Create documentation and self-service tooling to enable dev teams (DevEx).
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and RCA activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
- Strong expertise in Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with one or more CI/CD platforms.
- Proficient in scripting languages: Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker, and orchestration tools like EKS/Kubernetes or ECS.
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPC, and routing on AWS.
- Experience with Service Mesh (e.g., Istio), Ingress Controllers, or API Gateways (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Kong).
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using SNS/SQS, EventBridge, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and secure cloud architecture patterns.
