Provides technical and critical business input and oversight to the design engineering process in phases such as problem definition, conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, and design communication. 2. Lead the conceptual and detailed design phases for piping systems, including HVAC, fuel, water, waste, and hydraulic systems, ensuring designs align with project requirements. 4. Monitors the man-hours spent by electrical designers in the development of piping drawings upon the award of the project and evaluates comments from clients to identify potential change orders. 21. Ensures that drawings are issued in line with the safety requirements of the yard and classification rules, ensuring that the design meets all the statutory code requirements specified in the contract, displaying safe behavior on-site and in the office.
