Housed within the River HQ, the Media Studio is a multidisciplinary space that brings together creatives, writers, filmmakers, and strategists under one roof to tell stories that shape the brand and grow the community. As a Photography Assistant at River Media Studio, you will be supporting the Lead Photographer in all aspects of image production. This includes studio setup, post-processing, and contributing with a strong visual eye, technical photography skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic studio environment. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the Lead Photographer to plan, execute, and finalize photoshoots that tell compelling visual stories. You will be the critical second pair of eyes, hands, and ears on set, anticipating needs and ensuring each shoot's successful execution. Additionally, you will prepare and ensure the seamless functioning of equipment, including cameras, lighting, and props, while maintaining high standards of technical precision. Creative styling is another crucial aspect of your role, as you will help arrange and style subjects or products to bring out their best visual potential in every shot. Furthermore, you will assist with editing and post-production to ensure the final images not only match but potentially exceed the creative vision. Moreover, you will play a role in maintaining equipment, archiving digital files meticulously, and ensuring a smooth workflow and organization within the studio operations. The ideal candidate for this role will have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of how images can tell stories. Working with cameras, lenses, and editing tools should come as second nature to you. As a detail-oriented photographer, you notice the small things that can make a big difference and possess a collaborative mindset that allows you to thrive in a team. Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop is required, and you should have an innate readiness to travel to different locations. Ideally, you should have 1-3 years of experience assisting a photographer.
