About the Role: This is an experienced and highly technical position that provides trouble analysis and resolution to iBASIS global customers and network as part of the operation of a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center (NOC) in Hyderabad, India. The successful NOC Shift Lead will lead a team of front-line technical staff who monitor and troubleshoot issues within iBASIS global VOIP and Mobile networks and associated services. Responsibilities: Provide technical, operational and management guidance for a team of network controllers and front-line technical staff. Actions include recruiting, hiring, managing, scheduling, mentoring and training a diverse technical staff of NOC engineers. Additional responsibilities include: Leading staff responsible for acting on customer trouble reports, generating trouble tickets and performing follow-ups with customers, by tracking activity and productivity through KPI report monitoring Overseeing 24x7x365 NOC Floor Operations schedule and troubleshoot the network alarms using industry standard monitoring tools Managing the day-to-day NOC Floor Operations and ensuring proper shift handover is happening within the rotational shifts Responding to customer inquiries and issues by recording details of events in the Remedy ticketing system, keeping the customer up-to-date on problem resolution Ensuring all Faults / Abnormal Behavior in the networks are tracked through Trouble Ticket / Fault Ticket, assigned to the Right Person at Right Time and resolved within SLA / OLA Providing leadership and management across 3 shifts of coverage, where employees will: Monitor network performance and its component systems Lead efforts to reconfigure and restore network equipment Review network problems through real time monitoring; initiate repair work and reconfigurations Communicating technical concepts and define projects and maintenance efforts in written as well as verbal presentation formats; coordinate large number of activities and assignments. Who We Are Product Engineering team is responsible for Platform and software validation for the entire product portfolio. They will develop automation Framework for the entire product portfolio. Team will develop and deliver customer documentation and training solutions. Compliance with technical certifications such as TL9000 and TSEC is essential for ensuring industry standards and regulatory requirements are met. Team works closely with PLM, HW and SW architects, sales and customer account teams to innovate and develop network deployment strategy for a broad spectrum of networking products and software solutions. What You Work: As a Staff Engineer you will be responsible for driving technical projects, managing resources effectively, balancing team workloads. You will design solutions, oversee testing, and mentor junior engineers to ensure productivity and skill development. You’ll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive innovation and ensure high-quality deliverables. You’ll leverage your expertise to solve challenging problems and contribute to strategic engineering decisions. Knowledge of software development methodology, build tools, and product life cycle Build a 5G Cloud-native test solution in a virtualized environment with end to end understanding of 5G Network functions (i.e., AMF, SMF, UPF and PCF) and protocols Exposure to customer deployment models and configuration of large mobile packet core solutions Have 10+ years of Industry experience in Mobile packet core technologies with validation background and solid exposure in automation You have End to End or System Testing background Good knowledge in Kubernetes, docker and Cloud Native solutions Experience in bringing up Open stack , VMWare based test setups Interest & Passion in Automation and framework development using Python and Robot Framework Exposure in Spirent Landslide, Mobilium DsTest or Ixia simulators Exposure in automation frameworks like pyats and robot framework. Certification in Kubernetes, Exposure to Grafana and Prometheus is added advantage. Experience in CI/CD tools Jenkins and GIT Mandatory skills: Solid experience in 5G core End to End validation Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack Working exposure on AMF and UPF Have been to customer escalation role Spirent Landslide Python, Shell Scripting, Robot framework Desired skills: Certification in Kubernetes, Exposure to Grafana and Prometheus is added advantage. Lead - Packet Core & MPBN ( Gurugram) Overall this position is expected to take the end to end responsibility of Circle MPBN Network planning and economics for PAN India locations. Aims at creating robust MPBN network from One Airtel perspective to provide seamless experience and end to end SLAs To build robust MPBN network to meet Company objective of becoming a prominent player in PACO service by developing scalable/reliable network across PAN India for all business units. To evolve MPBN network architecture, control & review capex, capacities & network performance, manage partners and facilitate governance of Core Networks across India. 1. Packet Core, MPBN,BRAS and TechLAN IP nodes capacity management in line with Business Requirement. Proactive planning for traffic growth Based on Business Projections In time ordering and implementation / rollout 2. Impact analysis & implementation for PS/CS IP (MPBN) nodes. Version upgrades New business features and network features as per business requirement. Troubleshooting 3. Packet Core, MPBN, BRAS, and Techlan IP nodes network design (HLD, LLD). Total experience of 5-8 years Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communications or equivalent. Working knowledge or hands on experience of IP Nodes. Awareness about Telecom Nodes. Knowledge of IP technology like Router, switch, Firewall. Hands on experience of L1 and L2 Level Support and troubleshooting Good communication skills and he should be able to aggressively take proactive measures. Understanding of protection switching at SDH level. CCNA is Plus
