Summary:

As an Operations Engineer, you will support operations and manage delivery for production systems and services, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery to meet service level agreements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform daily VDI administration, maintenance, and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
• Create and maintain VDI master images and desktop pools.
• Monitor performance, respond to event alerts, and take appropriate action.
• Extensive experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) or Machine Creation Services (MCS) in a VDI environment.
• Manage Windows patching in a VDI environment.
• Implement new desktop systems according to documented plans and published change control processes.

Citrix Experience:

• Networking experience, including Citrix Administration.
• Proficient in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019).
• PowerShell scripting.
• Configuring and managing Citrix Storefronts.
• Build, manage, and troubleshoot multiple large Active Directory environments.
• Experience with Citrix product upgrades and migration tasks, including hotfix management.
• Knowledge of Citrix Secure Gateway, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP concepts.
• Experience with Citrix printing.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Public Cloud (Azure, Azure WVD, Citrix).
• Excellent understanding of Azure WVD and Azure Fundamentals.
• Good administration skills for both Azure and Citrix.
• Understanding of various VDI flavors (pooled, dedicated) and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes for managing requests, incidents, changes, and problems.
• Familiarity with FSLogix is an added advantage.

Certifications (Good to Have):

• AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Windows Virtual Desktop on Microsoft Azure.
• AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Integration with Microsoft Azure (1Y0-150).
