OpenShift Delivery Engineer

Job Description

Open Shift , Kubernetes(min 3+years exp), along with Service mesh, argocd gitops and splunk(min of 1yrs of exp is must). Job Requirements This position will focus on solution delivery of containerized PaaS and DevOps solutions utilizing the OpenShift Container Platform. In this role, you will design and guide implementations of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines, on large-scale container platform clusters, using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. You will collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers and system administrators, assisting them with complex and challenging issues. Primary Responsibilities: Provide solution delivery and consulting for OpenShift container platform, including building a production ready container platform, integrated into existing enterprise systems. Provide support, including assistance with troubleshooting deployments, cluster configuration, platform health and availability, container runtime, Kubernetes operators, source-to-image, occlient, and provide knowledge transfer to fellow engineering teams. Implement automated, containerized cloud application solutions with a focus on infrastructure integration for network, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience. Implement automated, containerized cloud application solutions with a focus on application architectures, migration of workloads to containers, containerized development workflows, and integration with automated CI/CD pipelines. Demonstrate considerable judgement in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Quickly analyze issues to identify problem areas and effectively communicate corrective actions and resolutions to customers in a professional and timely manner. Requirements: Technical: Demonstrable experience with development, configuration, orchestration, and automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet to provide full stack integration. Demonstrated mastery of automation and orchestration at large scale. Previous experience transforming organizations to CI/CD delivery model, ideally using tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, as well as image repositories (Artifactory, Quay, etc.), including deployment of source-code into running, scalable containers in automated fashion at enterprise scale. Strong working knowledge of enterprise platforms, tools and principles including: Service Now, SCCM, Vault, IAM, Shell Scripting, IT Security, and Performance Tuning. Proficiency automating/leveraging monitoring and event management technologies such as Splunk and/or ELK. Demonstrated understanding of system resiliency, redundancy, failovers and disaster recovery. Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code base development language experience (e.g.YAML, JSON, Python, Powershell, Bash, etc.) and toolchain (e.g., Vagrant, Ansible, Ansible Tower, Packer, Terraform, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.) Demonstrable experience working with a variety of vendor APIs including physical and logical infrastructure devices (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, etc.), cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, etc.) and/or virtualization providers (e.g., REV, VMWare, Hyper-v, etc.) Strong working knowledge of both Windows and Linux Platforms. Working knowledge of Containers; i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Strong fundamental understanding of all things "IT" (e.g., LDAP, DNS, SQL, TCP/IP, NAS/SAN, Systems Architecture, Data Modeling, Open Source Concepts, Software Development Design, Distributed Computing, etc.) Strong knowledge and experience with both CSI, CNI drivers for Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform. Strong knowledge and experience around persistent storage backends from multiple vendors,using stateful set controllers. Strong knowledge and experience with cluster operators, certificate management automation, federated service mesh peering and load balancing. (local and global traffic management for multiple regions and zones). Service (PaaS) provider or hosting service 3 to 5 years of experience working with Linux or Unix operating systems Experience working with hosted applications or large-scale application deployments Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat Middleware, Apache Tomcat, web frameworks and RESTful APIs Good understanding of Linux tools with an emphasis on cURL, kernel crash analysis, strace,Wireshark, and the use of Git Solid troubleshooting skills and passion for problem-solving and investigation Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and work under pressure Job Location: Bangalore / Chennai Education: B.E /B Tech / M Tech /B.Sc Comp/ M.Sc Comp Experience: 6 to 10 yrs
