Job Title: Retail Merchandiser

Location: Lower Parel
Department: Retail OperationsReporting To: Retail Head

Job Summary:

The Retail Merchandiser will be responsible for identifying and curating suitable brands and product ranges that align with Reise Motos ethos and customer expectations. The role includes managing the entire merchandising lifecyclefrom brand identification and onboarding to performance tracking and vendor relationship managementensuring a seamless retail and digital experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Identification

  • Research and identify new domestic and international brands that align with Reise Motos positioning and target audience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, rider preferences, and innovations in motorcycle gear and accessories.

Curation

  • Evaluate and shortlist brands based on product quality, pricing, uniqueness, target audience fit, and strategic alignment.
  • Build a pipeline of brand options suitable for current and future merchandising plans.

Onboarding

  • Coordinate legal, commercial, and operational onboarding processes for selected brands.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new partners into the Reise Moto ecosystem across retail and digital platforms.

Product Portfolio Management

  • Work with brand partners to finalize product ranges suitable for Reise Motos retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Ensure a balanced mix of SKUs across multiple product categories (e.g., riding gear, accessories, lifestyle).
  • Maintain product freshness and relevance in alignment with seasonality and rider behavior.

Ordering & Replenishment

  • Raise and track purchase orders (POs) and plan product launch timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstock and stockouts, ensuring timely replenishment and optimal stock health.

Performance Review

  • Monitor monthly brand performance metrics such as sell-through rates, margins, and customer feedback.
  • Recommend corrective actions based on data insights to optimize sales and customer satisfaction.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with brand stakeholders.
  • Negotiate better commercial terms, exclusive offerings, and collaboration opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 36 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or buyingpreferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail trends, and product assortment planning.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, retail analytics, and inventory tools.
