Role & responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• To Monitor and control availability of Vehicles for transportation based on daily despatch plan (Outgoing) for timely distribution of goods to the customer and pick up from suppliers (Incoming) based on purchase plan for timely receipts for production
• Constantly monitor and ensure optimum load ability of trucks to save on freight
• Support supply chain Manager in Logistics management process such as selection of careers, qualification and performance evaluation. Develop service providers to suit the needs of distribution to different regions from all three plants
• Support supply chain manager in timely collating of data for Freight contract negotiation and finalising of contracts
• Attend to all check post issues in coordination with tax team
• Support Supply chain Manager in implementing Audit controls that monitor the process of Logistics
• Analyse logistics spend every month factory wise /region wise /product wise and provide recommendation to control /minimise the spend
• Support supply chain manager in drawing up process for both incoming and outgoing movement of goods and documentation.
• Resolve all Logistics issues concerning transportation, damage, loss and coordinate with Insurance agencies for claims
• Establish Logistics performance measurement system and publish the findings

SECONDARY

• Coordination on payment to service providers with finance
• Provide copies of all contracts in time to finance for records and accounting payments
• Coordinate with factory stores on documentation and processes that needs to be followed in vehicle management and logistic activities
• Maintain all logistics records neatly and ensure records are available for Audit purpose as and when required
• Support all new projects initiation with logistics input and coordination

BCom having good experience in Logistics planning
