Role & responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Location:

Job Mode: Permanent

Interview: Virtual rounds

Candidate notice period: Max 1 month only

Reports To: Plant Manager

Industry:

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE:

1) Minimum 8 to 12 years of industrial experience with handling team of at least 2-4 people.

2) Experience in electrical and qualification testing of connectors and cable assembly.

3) Experience in new product development from scratch i.e. customer order to production handover.

4) Knowledge in Aerospace products and process of Relays and Switches is added advantage.

5) Project management knowledge mandatory

Language Proficiency:

EDUCATION:

  • BE/ B. Tech (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical).

COMPETENCIES

  • Industrialization focus: Capability to work with cross functional team for planning, executing activities related to NPD / NPT within the timeline defined by Project dept.
  • Quality Orientation: Ability to understand process requirements, define quality standards, resolve problems relating to form fit functions.
  • Stakeholder management: Capability to liaison and influence quality, production engineering and projects teams; work cross functionally in line with overall goals.
  • Talent management: Managing experienced professionals, assuring succession & workforce planning, resource allocation & organizational capability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New product development (NPD) adhering to Product development System (PDS) through Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) by Various product development Stage gate / Toll Gate System
  • Responsible for all process documents like Process Flow Chart, FMEA, Control Plan & SOP and management. Adhering to safe launch management procedure and training and development of the team to achieve Zero Defect
  • Executing strategic project by collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Product/ Project management, Customer for the breakthrough projects to generate the revenue via India for global.
  • Ensure day to day accountability & support Production team to achieve targets by problem solving, RCA, Process improvements, Implement Poka-yoke, training, FAI etc.
  • Perform, review, and prepare business case. Review CER/CAPEX requests and make decisions about the purchase of equipment, fixtures, tools, and jigs.
  • Provide optimized manufacturing man hours /tools/equipment’s cost to PM for new RFQ and work with them to reduce manufacturing cost to be competitive in market.
  • Analyze new technology and manufacturing processes. Plan and assess the feasibility of new and running projects.
  • Ensure good interfaces between Production, Production Planning, Engineering, QC, and other functions.
  • Plan, design, implement and monitor manufacturing improvement processes using work study techniques.
  • Proper troubleshooting skills and failure analyses for resolving problems.
  • Develop, manage department budget. Drive savings projects linked to productivity.
