As a Sales Manager at our company, your main responsibility will be to drive the growth of distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations. You will be expected to ensure visibility and accountability through extensive QR and Sound box deployment, as well as sales of our product. One of your key tasks will be to identify and recruit a sales team that will align with the company's objectives and drive business in the market. You will also need to plan the market size, span, and geographies for the Area Sales Managers (ASMs). Communication will be a crucial aspect of your role, as you will need to devise effective methods to communicate plans and targets to the team in order to minimize the gap between expectations and delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality parameters as suggested by the management and conducting audits on the acquisitions and sales made by the team. Managing a large team of 5-10 ASMs and 200+ indirect employees will be a part of your daily responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout your specified area. You should also be skilled in coaching and mentoring, quick to grasp new ideas, and put them into application effectively. Some skills that will help you succeed in this role include being a self-starter who can take ownership and navigate ambiguity, having 8-12 years of experience in sales and business development in B2C markets, being passionate about working in fast-growing firms and handling large teams, and being able to articulate complex solutions to novice customers. Good sales and negotiation skills, as well as experience in quota-driven sales, are also essential. The ideal candidate for this position will have an MBA in Marketing.
