Network Engineer

As a Network Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to sustain the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment. You will also be tasked with maintaining the company phone system and working closely with the phone service provider to ensure that the lines remain active. In this role, you will need to respond promptly to network connectivity issues and resolve any wireless communication issues within the confines of the office. It will be essential to update the network maintenance manual regularly and submit a summary of changes to the manual each week to management. Collaboration with third-party support and service vendors will be a crucial aspect of your job to ensure that the network remains operational at all times. Additionally, you will be responsible for network design and implementation, as well as troubleshooting and performance tuning. To excel in this position, you should have a solid understanding of different types of networks such as LAN, MAN, and WAN. Knowledge of Wireless Networks, network security standards, and best practices is also required. Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls will be necessary, along with familiarity with cloud networking concepts.
