Network Administrator

Job Description

Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive network designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Foster team growth by participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives, mentoring junior members, and advocating for best practices. Establish and maintain strong network security through the design of security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms. Collaborate effectively with vendors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), system administrators, and application developers to ensure smooth integration of network projects. Create configuration templates for network modifications, implement security hardening on network devices, and liaise with vendors/OEMs for Proof of Concepts (POCs) and project deployments. Analyze network traffic patterns, conduct capacity planning, optimize network configurations, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with clear escalation paths. Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the organization regarding computer and networking matters. Required Qualifications and Experience: Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech/MCA (Computer Science/Information Technology) with 8+ years of experience. OR B.Sc (Computers) with 10+ years of experience working on large, complex enterprise networks. Technical Expertise : Proven hands-on experience with the following protocols and technologies: MPLS (Traffic Engineering, L2/L3 VPN) BGP-4/MP-BGP ISIS OSPF/OSPFv3 EIGRP RSVP LDP VXLAN Network Access Control (NAC) 802.1x VPN Emerging Technologies : Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN. Leadership & Management : Extensive experience leading and managing complex internetworking solutions throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to implementation. Multi-Vendor/Service Environment : Demonstrated experience with multi-vendor and multi-service IP networks, including various equipment and network protocols. Solution Design & Architecture : Proven experience in solution design and architecture assessment of large-scale networks. Network Management Tools : Hands-on experience with network management tools such as Cisco ISE and DNAC. Team Leadership : Must have experience managing teams of at least 7 members.
