Role Description: This is a full-time role located in Head Office, Bangalore for a Head-Projects / General Manager-Projects. The role entails in handling tendering, planning, project management, creating and implementing development plans, and leading commercial management for assigned projects. Plans and organizes contract and project management activities including budgeting, billing and planning. Evaluation of Material Specification and Prices of Vendors/Subcontractors against Project Specifications. Monitoring projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure timely execution of projects. Coordinate technical and Commercial meetings with site team and subcontractors. Ensuring Quality and Safety Standard. Assures all completed projects meet quality requirements in accordance with job specifications and scope. Preparing MIS reports. Regular visit to all sites. Process implementation with periodic reviews and recommendations for process improvement for business effectiveness. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field. 20+ years of proven experience in urban roads, highways, Irrigation, layouts, bridges, Canals, project management, and commercial management. A proven history of successful delivery of projects in Civil Infrastructure Industry with best practice. Strong leadership skills, negotiation skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in managing Company Asset material management & Wastage control systems. Flexibility to manage several activities at one time. Ability to integrate teams to work in complex cross-cultural environment. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in planning, executing, and delivering large-scale road/highway construction projects while ensuring quality, safety, budget, and timeline adherence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of road and highway projects. Manage overall site operations, resources, and project schedules. Coordinate with clients, consultants, government authorities, contractors, and suppliers. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Ensure compliance with IRC, MORTH, and other relevant standards and specifications. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. Prepare and review project reports, DPRs, and MIS for management. Control project costs and ensure budget adherence. Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance on-site. Mentor site engineers and supervise the project team.
