You will lead a team dedicated to preparing compelling proposals to purchase crystallisation and evaporation plants for the battery chemicals and recycling industry. The proposals should contain sufficient technical and commercial information to provide a logical business case to our customers and assist their evaluation process. Your responsibilities will include sales support, bid compliance, technical support, preparing estimates, tender estimates, pre-award clarifications, seeking innovation in proposal preparation, and participating in operations & customer follow-up. You will work closely with the sales team to tailor proposals to meet customers" specific requirements and attend key presentations to adjust scope, cost, and technical content for winning offers. To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Process engineering and at least fifteen years of professional experience in the relevant industry, with a minimum of ten years of experience in preparing major proposal tenders. You should possess the ability to write clear and concise technical proposals, understand project costs, coordinate detailed estimates, and have experience with conceptual layout of process plants, PFDs, and P&IDs. Experience in the mining or minerals processing industries would be beneficial. As a skilled Technical Illustrator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and professional 2D and 3D illustrations for machinery manuals, spare part catalogs, assembly guides, and service documentation. Your experience in creating illustrations from CAD models or engineering drawings will be crucial, along with a clear understanding of industrial equipment and mechanical systems. You will create exploded views, assembly diagrams, and schematic illustrations for crushing and screening equipment. Additionally, you will develop detailed illustrations for user manuals, service manuals, and installation guides by interpreting 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and product specifications. It is essential to ensure that all visuals are clear, technically accurate, and aligned with branding and documentation standards. Collaboration with mechanical engineers, design teams, and technical writers will be required to develop and revise content, including supporting the creation of spare part catalogs with labeled part numbers and references. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical illustration, preferably in machinery or heavy equipment. Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, or dedicated illustration software is necessary. You should also have the ability to extract visuals from 3D CAD models (STEP, IGES, STL) and convert them to 2D illustrations, demonstrating strong attention to detail and visual clarity. Good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
