Mechanical Designer (Transformer)

As a Mechanical Designer at Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, you will be an integral part of the Transformers Business Unit team. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements, preparing order-bound drawings, and ensuring that designs align with customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include compiling relevant project documents, addressing deviations/issues, and generating design specifications in the ERP system. Additionally, you will be involved in 3D modeling of transformers, visiting customers for design approval, and optimizing designs based on tender commitments and technology requirements. To excel in this role, you must hold a BE/ME degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with 2-12 years of industry experience in electrical designing of Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors. Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD software packages like Creo/MagNet is essential, along with experience in optimization projects related to tank steel weight, oil volume, and insulation materials.
