As an Associate III- Electrical Supplier Quality at UST, you will play a key role in driving supplier quality improvement initiatives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead supplier problem resolutions by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring effective communication. Your responsibilities will also include supporting new product development through the review of process specifications, engineering drawings, and first article inspections. You will be instrumental in developing systemic supplier process improvement plans to reduce quality defects and conducting audits at supplier sites to verify compliance with quality requirements. Additionally, you will share best-known methods and key learnings with the supplier base, participate in new product development programs, and provide supplier perspective during drawing reviews and product design phases. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of design for manufacturability, quality management systems, and various problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and six sigma. Your knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, PFMEA, metrology, and measuring equipment will be crucial in addressing complex technical challenges with a broad impact on the business. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication or Microelectronics with 3-6 years of relevant experience. You should demonstrate proficiency in value stream mapping, manufacturing process development, and qualification, as well as a commitment to continuous learning and flexibility in problem-solving approaches. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or chemical engineeringor a science graduate with extensive sales experience—and must be skilled in selling a wide range of industrial and engineering products. Candidates from trading, dealer, or distributor companies are preferred. Products Handled: Pump, Fittings, Compressor, Bearing, Cooling Tower, Heat Exchanger, Valve, Filter, Tools, Hand Tools, Measuring Equipment, Chiller, Industrial Lubricants, Industrial Chemicals. Key Responsibilities: Identify potential customers and generate new business leads for assigned products. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with clients. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable technical solutions. Prepare quotations, follow up on proposals, and close sales. Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for product availability and delivery. Achieve assigned sales targets and report regularly on market activity and progress. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and product innovations. Key Requirements: B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering OR B.Sc. with minimum 5 years of sales experience. 1–2 years of proven experience in B2B sales of industrial/engineering products. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and explain technical products effectively. Proficient in MS Office and basic CRM tools. Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits. Preference will be given to candidates from trading, dealer, or distributor backgrounds.
