Job Purpose: The Senior Naval Architect will lead and execute complex engineering projects related to the design, modification, conversion, and structural assessment of ships and offshore structures. The role involves overseeing technical deliverables, providing expert guidance to the design team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and interfacing with clients, shipyards, and classification societies. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of design concepts, structural analysis, stability assessments, and hydrodynamic calculations for marine vessels and offshore units. Prepare technical specifications, design reports, structural drawings, and calculations in line with classification society and statutory requirements. Review, approve, and provide technical oversight for design deliverables produced by junior engineers and external contractors. Conduct feasibility studies, concept development, and detailed design for new build projects, retrofits, and conversions (e.g., BWTS retrofits, decarbonisation upgrades). Liaise with clients, classification societies, shipyards, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and successful approvals. Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site inspections as required. Mentor and support junior naval architects and draftsmen, ensuring high technical standards and knowledge sharing. Stay updated with relevant regulations, industry trends, and advancements in ship design and offshore engineering. Support project management teams with technical inputs, schedules, and resource planning. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors or masters degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in ship design, structural analysis, or offshore engineering. Proven track record in leading design projects across various vessel types (e.g., tankers, bulk carriers, offshore units, special-purpose vessels). Strong understanding of IMO regulations, Classification Society rules (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.), SOLAS, MARPOL, and other statutory requirements. Proficient in naval architecture software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Maxsurf, GHS, NAPA, or equivalent. Experience with 3D scanning, retrofit engineering, and conversion projects is a distinct advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities: To study & interpret tender documents/drawings/contract agreements to extract most optimized quantities. Preparation of BOQs for Highways /Bridges /flyover s/interchanges /Marine structures / industrial structures, etc. by appropriate interpretation of tender documents/contract agreements as an independent estimation expert. To work and prepare rate analysis for civil engineering items with reviews & inputs of appropriate backups & justifications. Processing of land acquisition & working of LA costs for highway/bridge projects. To identify, quantify & compile costing for utility related issues of the assigned projects from available data of contracts/agreements, etc. We expect value-engineering inputs during preparation of BOQs/Cost Estimates / DPRs / Pre-Bids / Detailed Engineering projects.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of industry-specific applications, and be well-versed with competitor offerings in the market. Key Responsibilities: Technical & Product Expertise Learn, Understand, discuss and demonstrate technical functionality of robotic solutions for painting, surface preparation, Cleaning of Oil Tanks, Marine Structures etc with perspective clients. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or AVEVA E3D for design coordination. Understanding of geotechnical inputs, soil-structure interaction, and pile design. Exposure to BIM workflows and multidisciplinary model reviews. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters degree preferred for senior roles). 37 years of experience in civil/structural design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects. Certification in STAAD.Pro or prior EPC project experience is a strong advantage.

Hiring a Naval Architect with expertise in vessel assessment, structural analysis & dismantling at ship recycling yards. Must know HKC norms, ship design, safety planning. Alang experience preferred. Proficiency in CAD tools is a plus.
