Manager- Production (Sports Shoes)

Production Manager Sports Shoes

Job Location- Unnao (Near Kanpur), Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and control the manufacturing process for sports shoe production lines
  
• Ensure on-time production as per customer orders, quality standards, and delivery schedules
  
• Monitor and optimize

  production planning, manpower deployment, machine utilization, and material flow

• Supervise daily operations across cutting, stitching, lasting, assembly, and finishing departments
  
• Maintain quality control at all stages; coordinate closely with QC/QA teams to minimize defects
  
• Implement

  Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices

  on the shop floor
• Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality
  
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, EHS regulations, and factory labor standards
  
• Collaborate with design, development, sourcing, and logistics teams for smooth operations
  
• Train and mentor production supervisors and line workers to achieve performance targets
  
• Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  sports footwear manufacturing processes

  (especially EVA/PU/RB sole, synthetic uppers, etc.)
• Excellent leadership, team management, and floor supervision skills
  
• Problem-solving mindset with hands-on experience in

  production troubleshooting

• Familiarity with ERP systems, production software, and basic data analytics
  
• Knowledge of

  quality assurance standards (ISO, BSCI, etc.)

  is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in

  Footwear Technology from FDDI,

  Engineering

  , or

  Industrial Production

• MBA/PG in Operations Management

  (preferred, not mandatory)

• 515 years

  of hands-on experience in

  sports shoe production

  in a medium to large-scale factory
• Prior experience in managing multiple production lines and large teams
