Machine Learning Engineer - Joule Lead Architect

As a Gen AI Enterprise Lead Architect for Joule at SAP, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the vision and future of SAP by driving the development of the big rock investment JOULE. To excel in this position, we are looking for someone with a strong technical background, including at least 15+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, SAP HANA, Redis, SAP BTP, and the Playwright test framework. Proficiency in object-oriented programming principles is essential. You will be responsible for architecting a piece of code that runs across all SAP systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of architecture concepts, creating architecture diagrams, and mastering SAP terminologies. Your role will also involve writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, actively participating in debugging and troubleshooting activities, and conducting peer code reviews with an ownership mindset. As part of the software development lifecycle, you will contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions under the guidance of experienced agile engineers. Your responsibilities will include participating in the design and architecture of your component, engaging in code reviews, and taking ownership of your deliverables throughout all agile phases, including testing. Performance aspects will be a core focus of your role, as you will be the technical owner responsible for ensuring the performance of Joule.
