Our Financial Research Team The team supports reputable clients in the financial services industry including private equity and debt funds, investment banks, asset managers, and family offices, among others. Our clients are spread across Europe, the US, and the Middle East. As part of a team working on a variety of long-term and short-term engagements for global financial services firms/investors, you will gain extensive exposure to truly global professional standards. Position: VP / SVP Financial Research A VP / SVP at Axience is hired typically from peer groups or related backgrounds, with one of the key attributes being experience and expertise in areas such as equity/credit analysis (public or private), financial modeling, valuations, and investment report writing. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): - Work on projects such as supporting private equity clients in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities; similarly, working with investment banking/corporate advisory clients in pitching investment ideas. - Supporting sell/buy-side equity research clients in initiating coverage, annual/quarterly maintenance of models and reports, sector studies, and various thematic reports. - Work hands-on on complex projects requiring high levels of financial research expertise, as well as guide and supervise analysts. - Manage projects end-to-end from scoping and execution to keeping internal stakeholders updated and communicating directly with the client. - Assist in proposal preparation, work allocation among analyst team, work review, and finalization of deliverables. - Train, mentor, and monitor junior analysts. Academic and professional background: 8+ years of relevant experience for VP and 10+ years for SVP; prior experience of working in KPOs/captive offshore units of international investment banks/brokerage houses will be given preference. Experience in one or more of the following: - Sell/buy-side equity or credit research with highly developed financial modeling and report writing skills. - M&A analysis (for private equity, corporate finance advisory/investment banking clients) company and industry analysis, pitch book/IM/IC memos, financial modeling, valuations. MBA from top-tier colleges with a strong academic record; CFA highly preferred. Required skills: - Exceptional oral and written communication skills (English). - Quantitative analytical skills. - Ability to balance hands-on and hands-off approach. - Should be proactive in prioritizing and organizing tasks to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects. - Superior analytical, interpersonal skills, and ability to dig deeper into problems and suggest solutions. - Ability to work on unstructured situations and projects. As a candidate for the Core Corporate FPnA profile, you will be expected to bring 3-5 years of experience to the table and possess expertise in Advanced Excel. The role requires you to work the shift from 1 PM to 10 PM, with a hybrid mode of work to the Thane office. It would be ideal if you could join the team immediately. Your key responsibilities will include: Budgeting & Forecasting: - Supporting the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts across business units. - Analyzing variances against budget and prior forecasts, identifying key drivers and actionable insights. - Working closely with operations and delivery teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with business objectives. Board & Management Reporting: - Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance decks for internal management and board meetings. - Generating monthly P&L reports by business unit and highlighting key trends or anomalies. - Tracking and reporting monthly KPIs across departments to monitor business health and productivity. Ad Hoc Analysis & Reporting: - Supporting one-off strategic and financial analysis requests from senior management. - Performing scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assist in decision-making. - Supporting Buy-side M&A cycle. Data Integrity & Accuracy: - Ensuring consistency and accuracy across reporting systems and financial models. - Reconciling financial data with accounting and operational sources to maintain trust in outputs. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CA/MBA/CMA is a plus. - 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance, preferably in a BPO or services environment. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. - Strong understanding of financial statements, unit economics, and operational KPIs. - Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to convey financial data to non-finance stakeholders. - Strong drive to dig deep into unstructured problems, uncover insights, and proactively suggest process improvements or data-driven solutions.
