Job Description

Linux + VCS (Veritas Cluster Server) Professional

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide
24x7 production support
for Linux/VCS environments, serving as a Subject Matter Expert.
Perform
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
and provide permanent fixes for recurring issues.
Investigate and provide solutions to
database performance related issues
.
Lead teams in crisis calls, participate in MIR (Major Incident Review) and PIR (Post-Incident Review) calls, and mentor team members.
Maintain complex
High Availability & Replication setups
.
Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Identify automation and Self-Healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.
Build and maintain
Linux servers
.
Ensure the stability and reliability of the production environment.
Proactively monitor systems to prevent incidents.

Skills Required:

Expertise in
Linux administration
.
Strong knowledge and experience with
VCS (Veritas Cluster Server)
.
Ability to perform
Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes
.
Proven skill in investigating and providing solutions to
database performance related issues
.
Capability to lead teams in crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, and mentor team members.
Experience and expertise in maintaining complex
High Availability & Replication setups
.
Ability to provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery.
Skill in identifying automation and Self-Healing opportunities and developing automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
