Lead Reservoir Engineer

As a Reservoir Engineer in the Exploration & Production department located in Navi Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to plan and guide Reservoir Engineering activities to support Exploration efforts. This includes executing Reservoir modeling and simulation studies, conducting well testing operations, and analyzing results. You will also be involved in preparing monthly production plans, monitoring production activities, and maintaining reserves registers. Your role will require you to conduct well testing for reservoir parameter estimation and prepare data input sets for CBM reservoir parameters in consultation with Geologists. Utilizing reservoir simulation software such as Comet3, Eclipse, or Petrel RE, you will perform simulation studies for single or group of wells. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting parametric simulation studies by varying critical reservoir and operational parameters. Field Optimization activities for Producing Assets and implementing Improved Recovery Methods will also be part of your responsibilities. This includes quality assurance and quality control of all inputs and outputs, as well as preparing short-term and long-term production forecasts. You will guide RE staff in activities related to production monitoring, analysis, well and field performance evaluation, well intervention opportunities, and field development planning. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university and have 8-12 years of experience in development and production operations. Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, reservoir simulation, and production data analysis is essential. Knowledge of well testing principles, reservoir parameters, and reservoir simulation techniques is also required. In addition to functional competencies, you should possess strong behavioral competencies such as negotiation skills, stakeholder management, team-working abilities, influencing skills, and analytical thinking. By demonstrating these skills and competencies, you will contribute to the successful implementation of techno-economic analysis and optimization strategies within the Exploration & Production department.,
