Lead Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering scope across all project phases (FEED, EPC, Detailed Engineering, Commissioning).
• Review and validate electrical engineering deliverables including SLDs, cable schedules, load lists, lighting layouts, earthing systems, etc.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) for integrated project delivery.
• Ensure design compliance with relevant codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, IS), safety standards, and client specifications.
• Conduct electrical load analysis, fault level calculations, protection coordination, cable sizing, and lighting calculations.
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment (Transformers, MCCs, UPS, VFDs, Switchgears, etc.).
• Plan and allocate electrical engineering resources, track progress, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Attend client meetings, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering support during construction and pre-commissioning.
• Guide junior engineers and designers; review and approve drawings and documents.
• Drive innovation, design optimization, and cost reduction measures.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems (LV/MV), substation design, motor control centers.
• Familiarity with electrical design software (ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, SPEL, Navisworks, etc.).

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
