Lead AWS WAF DevOps Engineer

We enable #HumanFirstDigital Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in designing, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, infrastructure automation, FinOps practices, and should hold a valid AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect). Experience in implementing granular WAF policies and serverless services is essential. Exposure to Generative AI is a plus.Key Responsibilities: Design and implement granular WAF (Web Application Firewall) rules tailored for WebAPI environments. Develop and manage scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, Step Functions, and EventBridge. Drive FinOps practices by implementing automation and recommendations to manage and reduce network and data transfer costs (e.g., TGW). Ensure infrastructure security, performance, and cost-efficiency using DevOps best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud infrastructure with business and product needs. Create and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and support high availability and disaster recovery strategies.Required Skills and Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, with a focus on AWS. Strong expertise in AWS networking, WAF, and serverless services (Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, EventBridge). Hands-on experience in cloud cost optimization, including automation of financial operations (FinOps). Proficiency with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems. Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and system monitoring. AWS Certification (DevOps Engineer - Professional or Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional) is required.Nice to Have: Experience or interest in Generative AI (Gen AI) services or integrations. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. Ability to mentor junior engineers and guide DevOps adoption across teams.
