Lathe Machine Operator

CRITERIA Qualification- Minimum S.S.L.C / Any relevant degree. Experience – Min 6+ Years. (On Specific Job) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Lathe Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining horizontal lathes to produce precision metal parts etc. according to specifications. The role requires knowledge of machine operation, tool selection, and quality control to ensure efficient production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and operate horizontal lathe machines to fabricate metal parts. • Interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments. • Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality. • Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.). • Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and maintain tolerances. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to improve machining processes. • Document production data and report any discrepancies. REQUIRED SKILLS • Proven experience as a Lathe Machine Operator (horizontal lathe preferred). • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials. • Proficiency in using measuring instruments for quality control. • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in machining. • Ability to work with precision and accuracy. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to pay attention to detail. • Good time management skills. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
