Department: Logistics Dispatch Warehouse About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Assistant to support day-to-day warehouse operations in our publishing company. The role involves handling books and printed material, ensuring proper storage, packing and dispatch, and maintaining accurate stock records. Key Responsibilities: Receive, unpack, and organize incoming book shipments. Pick, pack, and dispatch orders as per invoice or dispatch slips. Maintain inventory records and assist with regular stock counts. Label and store books and materials in an orderly manner. Ensure safe handling of books to avoid damage during storage or transit. Assist in loading/unloading materials during transport or book fair events. Coordinate with the sales, dispatch, and accounts team for order fulfilment. Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse area. Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to the supervisor. Requirements: 10th 12th pass or equivalent; basic reading and writing skills. Prior experience in warehouse or inventory handling (1-2 years preferred). Basic understanding of packaging and labelling processes. Familiarity with stock registers or basic inventory software is a plus. Punctual, responsible, and detail oriented. Preferred Skills: Experience in book publishing, distribution, or retail warehouse. Ability to use barcode scanners or simple inventory software.
